If I had a chance to create the world anew, what would I do?
I’d start with myself.
I’d dive into every connection
with sheer, unbridled expression,
and plentitude of affection,
I’d always be tenderly honest,
I’d know early on that
perfection is paralyzing,
and the beauty in recognizing
that flaws can be strikingly mesmerizing
would be so much pressure,
off of myself.
In my world, gratitude would be the currency
I would use to acquire my wealth
of compassion and kindness
for others and, most importantly,
