having crushed a batch in our hands  
we calculate the cost of  
bathing in raspberries. the delight of  
the impractical – a limousine to  
the catskills – won’t something snap us  
into whatever we hope is more.  
there must be something more. surely  
this isn’t
we calculate the cost of bathing  
in honey, in milk, in almond  
milk, in almonds, in bones, in  
we calculate the cost,  
plucking fruit from one  
another’s fingertips.
